Cefn Golau in Blaenau Gwent is the third community in Wales to join Invest Local.
After two public meeting in the area yesterday, the community agreed to take part in the programme.
Cefn Golau follows Penywaun (RCT) and Llwynhendy (Camarthenshire) in joining the programme, which offers support and funding of up to £1million over 10 years. 10 more communities across Wales will be announced over the coming months.
Zunaira Hassan, Invest Local officer for Cefn Golau said: “I’ve really enjoyed meeting the people of Cefn Golau and I’m looking forward to working with the community on this exciting new project. For the next stage of the programme, we need as many local people as possible to get involved and tell about their priorities for the area.”
