Three More Communities Join Invest Local

Three More Communities Join Invest Local

20 Apr 2016

Three more communities have joined the Invest Local programme. Maesgeirchen (Gwynedd), Caerau (Bridgend) and Hubberston and Hakin (Pembrokeshire) are the latest communities to be part of the scheme, which sees residents decide how to spend £1million over 10 years.

The announcement of the latest three communities see our work starting in three very different areas, in North, South and West Wales. Maesgeirchen is a large housing estate on the edge of Bangor in Gwynedd; Caerau is a former mining village near Maesteg in the Llynfi Valley; Hubberston and Hakin are two adjacent coastal communities, close to Milford Haven.

The communities join Penywaun (RCT), Llwynhendy (Carmathenshire) and Cefn Golau (Blaenau Gwent), who joined the programme earlier this year. Seven more communities will join the programme during 2016.
