WEBINAR: HOW STRONG ARE WELSH COMMUNITIES? 25 NOV 2020
This webinar was the launch event for two reports on the state of our communities, aiming to highlight and celebrate the strength of communities in Wales. The first half of the session looks at the wider context of community work in Wales, with presentations from Rosie Cribb (Funding Assist) who worked on the Mapping Community Assets in Wales report, Chris Johnes (BCT) on the Building Stronger Welsh Communities report, and Peter Davies, Chair of WCVA. In the second half of the session, we heard from people who run successful community projects across Wales, telling the stories of the work that they do, and how it impacts the people in their local area to build healthier, happier, more resilient communities. In order, the speakers are Meleri Davies (Partneriaeth Ogwen), Peter Llewelyn (Hubberston and Hakin Community Centre), Karen Roberts (Penparcau Community Forum) and Dave Horton (Action in Caerau & Ely).
