Penywaun is a village just outside Aberdare in the county of Rhondda Cynon Taf. It has around 3,000 residents.

The community has lots of different active groups, including everything from parent and toddler group to a community radio station. Lots of these activities take part in the Community Centre.

There are several shops and business in the village, including a Post Office, fish and chip shop, grocery shops, social club and a pub. Penywaun also has a play area, allotments and a church.
