Kent Matthews
Kent Matthews is the Sir Julian Hodge Professor of Banking and Finance at Cardiff University. He has worked in the field of economics – in academic, research and professional roles – for over forty years.
Kent’s professional experience as an economist includes roles at National Institute of Economic & Social Research, Bank of England, and Lombard Street Research Ltd. He has held teaching posts in universities in the UK, Europe and North America, as well as visiting research positions internationally.
Kent is currently Secretary to the Shadow Monetary Policy Committee of the Institute of Economic Affairs.
