Event recap: Thriving Welsh Communities Hustings

‍With manifestos from the six main political parties in Wales including the words “community” or “communities” a total of 394 times, as well as multiple commitments to a community right to buy, we used our online hustings event to explore the sentiment behind this rhetoric.

Here is the recording of our recent Thriving Welsh Communities Hustings event.

We invited candidates from the six main political parties to participate and were joined by representatives from three parties. The Welsh Liberal Democrats were scheduled to join us but could not participate at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. We did not receive responses from Welsh Conservatives or Reform UK in Wales.
